Red Back gets a $7.1 billion takeover offer from Kinross. It`s incredible how fast Kinross has moved over the past few years, especially with world class assets (Kupol, Aurelian`s massive discovery, etc.).
I worked for Kinross, the same year they got on the TSX. I think they opened at 2 bucks, around there anyways. They bought a crap load of properties up here in the arctic ,drilled them like crazy,The project i was on (Goose Lake) had 6 geoligists going in one huge core shack.
I suppose Pierre Lassonde is well qualified and should be immensely insightful to note that grade is everything and is one of the major reasons why there is cost pressure with minors. As such, can one say that CMM's Lamarque +-4.5g/t grade on average is something serious minors will pray for? For interest, what are the best grades ever uncountered by a past/present mine?
