Conference schedule

Based on the website listing, Century might have removed themselves from the Vancouver conference this upcoming weekend / early next week. Hopefully it's because Peggy and Brent are busy with more important things, like Asian related stuff.

Has anyone been able to get an answer out of Brent on the Conference attendance? He appears to be MIA. I guess there's only two guesses, he's getting ready for the show or helping with press releases for next week????

Rick, it would either be a server problem or they have taken the website offline while they update it.

at seen are they treat their remaining staff. there will be no more century presence in val d'or. all of the team is leaving one after one and century do nothing about it. it's look like they don't care of people

Carib,,, OR CMM website has been taken off line for lack of payment. Maybe PLESK are one of the creditors who do not want to take payment in shares and therefore have removed CMM website from their server.

rhump, do you know for sure that this is the reason for the website being down?

I don't imagine that PLESK were offered shares or that they would be interested if they were.

This would qualify as another embarrassing screw-up if what you say is true. Century is not that stapped for cash that they can't pay this relatively minor expense.

Plesk is control panel software for hosting providers.

Website hosting is peanuts...like $100/year at the most

The longer it takes to announce the closing of the financing, the more investors and Val d'Or miners become anxious. That is reflected in the drop in share price to 16 cents. People sell on fear and buy on euphoria, but often one should be doing the opposite.

I think if the financing doesn't close by the AGM, then Century will have to pursue other options and they did say there were other options. Of course, if the $65 million financing doesn't close, then the company's credibility will be further diminished.

If you are a Val d'Or miner, Lamaque will eventually re-start operations whether it is operated by Century or someone else. The gold is there and most of the infrastructure is in place and despite a temporary pullback in the gold price it is going much higher.

I read today that the three U.S. banks which hold large COMEX net short positions in gold are at their highest net short positioning since 2005. They are going to have to work a lot harder this time to get the price back to $900 - especially with the US dollar resuming its decline.
